Hosted Phone Systems

Scale without limits, defy disruptions, and transcend office boundaries effortlessly.

Powerful, Flexible, and Unstoppable.

A hosted phone system is that the system's brains are located a long way from your office in a Data Center. There are several benefits to your company. We will summarize the benefits to help you decide if it makes sense for you and your company.

Let’s explore the benefits of a Hosted Phone System:

  • Suppose there's a power outage or a natural disaster such as a flood, fire, earthquake or windstorm. Your system will be up and running because it's not on your premise. Not only is your phone system offsite, but it is also available from several locations. This means the chances of your system ever being down are incredibly remote. Interestingly, only 3% of disruptions come from fire, flood, or earthquake, and humans cause 97% of interruptions. Examples include digging up roads and cutting the lines to your premise, software corruption, theft and break-ins, hacking, and viruses. We often get hacking issues on premise-based phone equipment because they're not protected securely enough.

  • Interest in remote work has skyrocketed once people saw an increase in their quality of life. Reducing expenses, accessibility for people with health challenges, and access to a diverse class of roles across all borders has made remote work a commodity. It opens up many opportunities for companies to hire people who may not be able to work any other way.

The majority of today’s workers want the option to work from home.  Statistically, 56% of women and 52% of men want to be able to work from home. People are changing jobs to Companies that will accommodate this.

Many industries have changed the way they do business and governments have been encouraging it for years. They want people to work at home once a week because it takes the pressure off the roads and bridges. It reduces congestion, improves air quality, and reduces greenhouse gas emissions.

The job market has shifted and providing employees with equipment at their homes. With hosted systems, you can reduce the risk of equipment loss or damage and still provide everyone with the support they need to be successful.

  • This is a very significant benefit. One of the main benefits of hosting is the ability to allow unlimited growth. All we have to do is add phones. A major benefit is if you need to downsize. With a hosted solution, you can scale back and reduce your costs.

  • There is no need to have an initial large capital outlay. As we mentioned, you can go up and down as your needs change. This can affect your ability to borrow money for the business. So if something's not a burning expense, it doesn't affect your ability to borrow money from the bank.  You may need capital to build your business, which can be significant. We're not spending money on technology because the problem with technology is it depreciates almost immediately. If you keep the equipment for a long time. It can seem like it's a less expensive way to go. But what, at what cost for your business what happens is.

  • A hosted solution doesn't become obsolete because the software is continuously updated. This is all behind the scenes You don't see it going on, but you're always updated regularly. With premise-based equipment, the software is easily updated. However, it is rarely part of the ongoing maintenance. After the initial installation only gets updated if a problem is found.  This can be years.  This means your system becomes more and more obsolete. Eventually, hardware systems become discontinued and are longer supported by the manufacturer.

  • Traditionally, you could not keep your phone number when you moved to another community. Your published number was one of the most important ways for your clients to get hold of you. This is no longer an issue. You can take your number literally anywhere in the world.

  • Telephones are now an industry standard. We can support 20 different manufacturers. You can keep your hardware if you choose to change suppliers. You are no longer held hostage to one company. In fact, “endpoints”  could be on a cell phone, on a laptop, on a tablet, videophones, or on your home phone can even be your endpoint.

  • For example, we have a trucking firm in Montreal, Toronto, Calgary, and Vancouver. They're able to time-shift their employees to answer calls. They are open to the public 12 hours a day from 8:00 AM Eastern till 5:00 PM Pacific. They can provide better customer service without having to adjust staff working hours.

North American calls are considered local. No more dialling one for a long-distance call. There are no longer long-distance charges for most of North America. Exceptions are the Yukon, North West Territories, Nunavut, Alaska and Hawaii.

  • If you're moving within the office or moving to another floor, or if you're moving within the town, even if you move across the country, you can keep your phone numbers and your existing extension. All you need is access to the internet and you are good to go.
